Investigation Course for Tokelau Police Underway Next Week

Police on Tokelau will undertake an Investigating Course next week to improve policing on the islands.
 
The aim of the investigators course is to be practical and relevant so that Tokelau Police Officers are able to deliver police investigative skills to a standard that meets community and Law & justice needs to the people.
 
The course is broken down into five topics that will highlight recapping of previous activities and how to record crimes and Incidents. Police officers will be trained on interviewing, put through a basic scene examination and preparation of court documents activities.
 
The course will enable officers to improve skills in carrying out their duties and responsibilities on the island.
 
New Zealand Police, Superintendent Murray Lewis will be facilitating the course workshop.
 
Tokelau will have all 18 police officers participate during the 6 weeks workshop.
