Managing of Education Services to be delegated to the Education Department

Schools in Tokelau will soon have a significant improvement to the quality of education services it provides with the new agreement between the Council of Village Elders (Taupulega) and the Tokelau Education Department.
The Councils of Village Elders on each village has agreed to hand over responsibilities in managing of education services under the control of the Tokelau Education Department.
The agreement is part of the objective to transform quality of education following recommendation from the Education Review Office (ERO) report.
The contract is yet to be sign and is currently in draft phase.
