​WORKSHOP Underway to Improve Justice Service Delivery for Tokelau

Judicial Development Program is underway way after its opening ceremony yesterday.
 
Tokelau representative, Human Resource Manager, Kele Lui highlighted in his opening statement the importance of the workshop towards improving the justice delivery service as well as improving the quality of life for the people of Tokelau.
 
Mr Lui also made clear the objectives of the workshop. As it will promote judicial competence of courts actors to perform their roles effectively. It will develop shared vision, understanding and collaboration between the court actors and court users. It will also build the capacity for Tokelau and Samoa to deliver judicial Orientation in Tokelau.
 
Participants of the workshop include Law Commissioners, Judicial Officers, Police, and members of the communities, Fatupaepae (women group), Taulelea (men’s working group) and youth.
 
The five day workshop is held at the Samoa’s Justice Courts, Apia and is facilitated by Samoan judges.
